Promo Video #1 (more to come)

Phil, Dom, Hilary and I got together yesterday afternoon at the Beauty Shop to film some 1-take promo videos for the Pepsi Refresh Grant starting Dec 1st. I'm pretty happy with what came out of them, and it was definitely fun and not painful to create (I wouldn't normally look forward to creating such a thing).  Here's "Philip's solemn plea to the people."



*EDIT* Apparently our application for the Pepsi Refresh grant was denied. Likely because we didn't directly credit the original music IN our video (though we did have consent and credit them on the youtube channel). Sooo, maybe in March I guess....Thanks for your enthusiasm and willingness to help out!

Gearing up for dollas

We've applied to the Pepsi Refresh grant and voting starts Dec 1st.  The plan is to use this blog, bonnellproject.org, facebook and REAL LIFE to get people so excited about funding our project and voting every day.  We have no idea how many votes it's going to take to actually get in the top 10 to receive the grant (we're applying for $50,000) but we are going to do our very best to make it happen.

I'm going to make 30 second videos of myself talking about why I think our project is awesome and spread that around facebook.  Julia and I are collaborating with local businesses to offer discounts to voters.  Etc. etc.
